| AGES Aviation Center, Inc., the leading FBO at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, pioneered in local manufacturing and modification of ground handling equipment to reduce cost and save on foreign exchange remittances at a time in our country's economic history that required all Filipino corporations to contribute to the programs of the government under President Ferdinand Marcos. It was also envisioned to develop this segment of the industry for possible export possibilities.
Ages was mainly responsible for the removal of China Airlines B707 aircraft that figured in a crash in June 1990 at Manila International Airport.
In 1981, for a period of three(3) months AGES was also contracted to provide aircraft mechanics and technicians at Kuala Lumpur, Penang Airport, Jakarta Airport to support the line maintenance requirement of three(3) DC-10s and one(1) B747 of World Airways, Inc. which was doing the Hadji contract.
AGES performed interior refurbishing to the T-30 trainer jet aircraft of the United States Air Force installing new gallery, coffee table carpeting and upholstery.
In 1982, we provided ground handling services to Aero Filipinas, the Philippines other airline whose fleet of aircraft were B707s. We also reconfigured the B707 into full VIP configuration for their chartered flight around the world for King and Queen of Nepal.
Because of the expanding needs in the aviation industry I the region, AGES was transformed into a bigger service provider and thus Ages Aviation Center, Inc. was born.
